Just before 12 pm, the Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to the location provided for a single car motor vehicle accident. As fire units arrived, a single vehicle was located off the roadway and into the woods. Members assisted Echo Hose Ambulance with patient removal and provided scene protection from passing traffic. The patient was transported to a local trauma facility for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. Once the vehicle was removed by the tow service, all fire units cleared the scene. Engines 32, 42, Utility 4, and Rescue 45 operated under the command of Assistant Chief Nick Verdicchio.
