Just before 10:00 am yesterday, the Shelton Fire Department responded to Route 8 southbound for the reported motor vehicle accident. First arriving fire department units found a single-car rollover in the left median just past exit 13 southbound. The operator of the vehicle fled the scene prior to emergency units arriving.
