Companies 1 and 3 of the Shelton Fire Department were requested to respond to the location provided for the dump truck rollover. Upon the arrival of the first fire unit, it was confirmed that a loaded dump truck had rolled over onto its side and the occupant was trapped inside. As the apparatus arrived, hydraulic extrication tools and saws were used to gain access to the patient. Once access was made, the patient was placed in the care of Echo Hose Ambulance. Squad 1, Engines 2, 32, and Cars 2 and 6 operated under the Command of Assistant Chief Wheeler (Car 5). The patient was transported to a local trauma facility for evaluation.
