Just after 8:00am this morning the Shelton Fire Department responded to Route 8 Southbound prior to exit 12 for the motor vehicle accident with injuries. First arriving units found a 2-car motor vehicle accident with heavy damage to both vehicles, one occupant requiring extrication via the jaws of life. Both operators were transported to area hospitals by Shelton EMS.
