Just after 10:00pm the Shelton Fire Department responded to the area of 701 River Road for a tree down on a vehicle. First arriving fire department units found a large tree on top of a vehicle with the operator still inside. Once U.I. secured power to the immediate area, fire crews quickly cut and removed the tree to extricate the operator. No injuries were sustained in the accident.
