Around 4 am Companies 1, 4, 5 for RIT and Ladder 33 special call were dispatched to a residence on Joseph Court for a possible fire. First in units found a 2 story house with heavy smoke from the front door. Crews found a basement fire extending. 2 hand lines were stretched and the fire was knocked down in under 15 minutes. Searches were negative and no injuries reported. The fire was placed under control in about an hour. During this incident a fire alarm at Shelton Intermediate School in Company 1’s area was handled by Derby and Company 3
