At 2:13 pm Companies, 1 and 5 of the Shelton Fire Department were requested to respond to the City of Ansonia to assist in battling a large fire in a multi-family home. Members of the Shelton FD along with Derby, Seymour, Orange, Woodbridge, and Oxford assisted Ansonia with fire suppression, overhaul, and station coverage. Shelton FD’s rehabilitation truck also responded to provide water and sports drinks to the Firefighters on the scene. Squad 1, Ladder 51, Rehab 48, and Cars 1, 3, and 6 operated on scene.
