At 21:25hrs companies 3, 5 & 1 were dispatched to 22 Lady Slipper Drive for a reported structure fire. Engine 35 arrived finding heavy smoke showing from a 2 story house and stretched a line to the front door while Engine 2 arriving 2nd due took the hydrant near by. Companies found a kitchen fire with heavy smoke throughout the house and quickly knocked the fire down. Additional crews searched the house finding a dog and removing it to safety and into the care of EMS. Companies spent the next 30 minutes opening up the kitchen area finding several hot spots and also ventilating the residence. 1 civilian was also treated by EMS for smoke inhalation. Fire was placed under control in 45 minutes.
