At 1900hrs this evening, the Shelton Fire Department responded to the Housatonic River for an emergency aircraft landing. A Cessna 208 Seaplane experienced landing gear issues resulting in the aircraft landing in the Housatonic River in the area of the Sunnyside Boat ramp. Marine units from Shelton and Derby were deployed to provide assistance.
