The Echo Hose took delivery of a brand new 2014 Pierce Velocity PUC Rescue truck this week. The new truck has several new features including a remote controlled deluge gun, light tower, wireless headsets, auto awning, quick-connect Hurst tools, and a 30 kilowatt generator. The new “Squad 1” will replace Engine 4, a 1986 Pierce pumper, and Squad 5, a 1985 Ford Rescue. Members have begun training on the new truck and plan to have it in service by November.
