It is with deepest regret the Officers of the Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Fire Company No.1 announce the passing of Veteran Member Michael Padla Jr. on Sunday, 4/1/12. Mike was a long time member of the Echo Hose and can be remembered by many of us as sitting in a chair or on the bench in front of the firehouse in the early morning hours, with the bay door open, smoking his pipe and watching the comings and goings of downtown Shelton. Mike was there faithfully everyday for his daily routine. Mike will be missed as he will not be there to great members running in for calls in the early morning hours as he has for such a long time. Rest in peace brother. To honor Mikes wishes, there will be no wake or funeral.
