At 7:40 pm Companies  1 & 4 were dispatched to Laurelwood Drive for a car down an embankment. Engine 2 arrived finding a vehicle that went through a yard over a retaining wall and down an embankment into a tree and boulder. Firefighters and the VEMS medic began treating the patient while ropes, a ground ladder and a stokes basket was set up. The patient was removed, secured into the basket and brought up the hill by using ropes attached to the basket. The patient was in the care of EMS in under 20 minutes.
