At 8:20 p.m. Shelton 911 started receiving multiple 911’s for a reported structure fire somewhere on Canal Street which prompted a response from Companies 1,4 & 5 along with Derby. Tower 7 & Engine 2 arrived to find a working fire in a building behind 273 Canal Street. Crews stretched multiple lines and had the fire knocked down shortly after. Units remained on scene for approximately 2 hours until the scene was turned over to the Fire Marshall’s Office.
