At approximately 9:00am on Tuesday, December 9th, companies 1 and 3 were dispatched to Route 8 southbound between exits 13 and 12 for the motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival Squad 1 found a single vehicle into the woods with heavy damage. The operator was assisted out of the vehicle by a bystander and transported to the hospital by Echo Hose Ambulance. Squad 1 remained on scene to secure the vehicle and provide scene protection.
