Stop and Shop Extrication 2

At approximately 6:30am on Tuesday, December 9th, Company 1 was dispatched to Stop and Shop on Bridgeport Avenue for the reported industrial accident. Upon arrival Squad 1 found an employee with his hand caught inside of a carboard baler machine. The crews from Squad 1 and Engine 32 immediately stabilized the machine and began dismantling parts around the effected area. Crews were able to release the hydraulic pressure and lower the baler ram off of the employees hand. The patient was transported to the hospital by Echo Hose Ambulance.
